We just had our first day of school. As a teacher with one son in Kindergarten and one in the 4th grade, I know it’s important to start well. Here, I’ve gathered several websites with back to school tips and have added some of my own. Here’s to make this the best year ever!
This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are mine.
Set an alarm.
After a long summer, going back to school can be difficult. If you find it difficult to get up in the morning, you might want to set several alarms. In our house, we use our phones and an alarm clock. With a 40 minute commute and two kids to get ready, I don’t have time to sleep in. Plus, it really helps on those mornings after my oldest son wakes us up at 4 a.m. before going back to sleep again. Groupon Goods might be a good place to shop around if you’re searching for a new alarm clock. They offer some really great deals on all things electronic so you can spare your wallet here.
For both of my children, that means labeling backpacks, pencil cases, and spare sets of clothing in case of accidents. Thankfully, Safety Tat has some really great labels that are machine washable. Not only that, but if you have a runner like I do, they also offer some washable customizable tats with your child’s name and your phone number on them. It’s important to make sure we keep our material goods, but even more important to keep our children safe.
We are always looks for easy meal ideas with both of us working and two kids in school. By the end of the day, I’ve been on my feet so long, I don’t want to spend 30 minutes cooking. Crockpot meals make life simple, and this website provides 30 quick and easy crockpot meals to help you adjust to the back to school routine.
Use a Back to School Checklist
Haley’s Vintage gives some great advice on surviving back to school time. She even has a free printable checklist to get you started with ease. With the length of classroom supply lists these days, you may need a checklist just to keep it all together!
Do you pack your own lunch?
At Sharing Life’s Moments, you can find some fantastic back to school lunch ideas. I kind of want to try the Italian Pepperoni Roll-up myself!
School Supplies on a Budget
Through Groupon Goods, I found some super cheap school supplies, including a school supply kit! Why spend a ton at the store when you can get a ton of stuff for cheaper, right?
