Book Review: The Big Book of Parenting Tweets

You know that saying that goes, “I laugh so I won’t cry?”

Well, I’m thankful that Science of Parenthood sent me an advanced copy The Big Book of Parenting Tweets, because sometimes you just need to laugh about what happens in the day-to-day life of parenting. Lately I don’t have a whole lot of time to read books, but this one made it easy for me. I mean, reading a book in 140 characters at a time? With the hilarious illustrations included, I easily got a good chuckle out of this book every time I read it and I could literally just pick it up and read it anywhere.

Places I could read it:

  • The waiting room at the doctor’s office
  • Right before bed
  • On the couch with a child somersaulting across me
  • In the bathroom while desperately searching for two minutes of alone time

Not only do you get good laughs out of the book, but it includes helpful tips like “Singing along loudly when you son’s friends are in the car means he’ll never ask you to drive again,” from Twitter Comedians like @SarcasticMommy4.

I mean, honestly, common sense tips like these may save you from hours of hassle.

My favorite thing about the book is that I can relate to everything in it. I mean, I read this tweet by @DadandBuried and thought about Big Guy…

Living with a 4yo is like watching someone fill out a MadLib and just put “NO!” in every single spot.

Honestly? That’s totally my kid. And if I’m having a particularly bad day, I can just go to my Kindle, and read a few of those tweets, and realize that all kids are insane, not just mine. I need a good laugh lately, anyway, so thank God for this book!

I was given an ecopy of this book so that I could complete this book review, but no other compensation was provided. All opinions expressed above are my honest opinions.

Order your book in a kindle version ($4.99) or paperback ($10.42) just in time for the holidays by clicking the link below (no need to worry about shipping if you’re sending a Kindle version)! Like I said, sometimes you have to laugh about what goes on in the world of parenting. Come get yo’ laugh on!
