When’s the last time you had to write an essay, dissertation, or other written assignment and you thought, “I wish I didn’t have to write this thing!” What about the times your child, who has a writing disability, has had to write an essay that you felt you needed to help with? I teach, so I don’t condone cheating and, as this website’s primary purpose is to complete assignments for other people, I do have to say that I think ethical issues must come into consideration before using such a website. The owner of the website Oz Essay did offer monetary compensation for my honest review of their site, and that’s what I’m providing. An honest review. So the question remains: When is it acceptable to use a writing service to write for you?
My husband and I had a pretty lengthy conversation about the moral and ethical dilemma I faced when providing a review of a website that wrote super important articles, essays, etc., for other people. As a teacher, I would feel that a child/adult’s education got cheated by using such a resource. What’s the purpose of an essay/article/etc.? To demonstrate competency in the subject you’re studying. How does a teacher know that you’ve wrapped your head around it if you didn’t write it yourself? The good news is that with this website, you get the opportunity to correspond directly with the person writing your essay, provide details, and give feedback on the draft prior to purchasing he document. And, after a discussion with my husband, who struggles with writing himself, I recognize that not every child can meeting the rigorous expectations that go on in school. Does this mean they don’t understand the topic or that they simply have difficulty expressing their thoughts and feelings in writing? More than likely, it’s the latter.
I will say that my favorite service offered by the website involves the option to request editing the proofreading services. Now, I used to proofread and edit papers that my husband wrote during college. He’s pretty terrible with grammar, punctuation, and spelling, but represented his ideas well. If he had a service like this one where he could get proofreading or editing done for him, he probably would’ve taken advantage of it. A lot of the students I worked with had the same problem. If their parents would pay for it, I’m sure they’d find it worthwhile.
There are many positives about this website. They’ve employed 200 Ph.D. researchers and 1800 MBA writers. They offer a 100% original writing guarantee, which means you don’t need to worry about someone flagging you for copying something off of the internet. They offer unlimited revisions free of charge, non-stop customer service, a quality assurance program, and unique discounts for repeat customers. Also, they do ghost writing, so if you want someone to write about your life for you, you can receive ghost writing services. I previewed a couple of their sample articles and the writing looks really good, so it’s good to see that they offer quality writing.
Though I believe it’s unethical to get someone else to write for you, I understand well that some people just struggle with presenting their ideas in writing. The expectation of every child to go to college and take courses in high school that lead to college preparedness. Scholarly writing for students with disabilities presents a challenge for them. Instead of their parents (in all likelihood) writing for them, they could use Oz Essay for assistance getting it done.
In short, I think the services offered by this website can help a lot of people and that they provide the quality assurance needed to make you feel comfortable using them.
